1st April 2017 10 Pin bowling Night AMF Penrith.

Blowing nite

After a two year hiatus the runs team decided it was high time to organise another bowling night. The action kicked off at 7.30 and the Venue was the AMF bowling centre in Penrith. Thanks to all who turned out we had a huge response with close to 30 in the running for the coveted Gold pin title. Money paid and shoes hired we got two games which in the end took us till 10.30 to finish.

Bowlers got two chances to get the highest score to win the Golden Pin Award and some took things very seriously bringing their own equipment. Now i could take the cheap shot and say something about playing with their own balls but i am better than that so i wont. Needless to say Darren top scored on the night with a 187 playing with his own balls, second was Chris with 155 and Third his wife Angela with 147. Simon’s 4.5 year old (with a little help) also scored 147 but decided to have a calippo instead of an award. We also acknowledge last place with the “I wish this was a Golf tournament award. This year the honours went to Brock Bailey with a score of 41. To his credit his second game score was double with an 81.

Dinner was on site with the usual burgers and other fare. Matt not content with one dinner (although he will swear he only had ‘a couple of chipswas on the hunt for some chicken after we had finished the bowling but luck was not on his side the chicken joint was closed. The rumour is there was a stop at Hungry Jacks on the way home for the ubiquitous mid night snack.

Always a fun night this one did not disappoint either all having a good time. Even those who turned up for the socialising and did not bowl seemed to have a great time.
