August 2017 Gosford Motoring Museum.

Augusts’s club run saw us return to the Gosford motoring museum and the turn out for this one as usuall was was great.

Our meet point was once again was the old faithful Thornleigh McDonalds. With bellies loaded up on McMuffins we gathered for a briefing and the all important lucky door prize. This time going to Andrew Hodgson….again (tinny bugger).

In the cars we hopped and headed out onto pennant hills road. Our cruise route was to take us along the old pacific highway a great stretch of road. As the convoy moved ahead simon thought it a good idea to jump ahead and get footage of the convoy, well a wrong turn saw him heading back to hornsby! Turned around and heading in the right direction he made it just in time to beat the group there. We were able to line all the cars up at the entry which made for a great display.

It has been 12 months to the day since we visited and the museum as usual it did not disappoint. As far as the fancy Euro exotics the displays had not really changed but in the U.S. and Aussie department there was some new stuff. Hard to pick a highlight  for me but the L34 was quite impressive.

Convenience saw us head to the Gosford RSL for lunch. Albeit with some trepidation. The big question was would Simon get lunch this time. Polar opposites this time with the fishermans basket to big for him.

By 2.30 it was time to say our goodbyes and head home. Our return trip was a more direct route down the the freeway bringing anbother STC run to an end.
